Role Summary

The Change Management Program Manager, is the sole subject matter expert in the design and improvement of existing processes and tools across Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role defines long-term strategy for design and improvement processes and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to solve change management practices that drive commercial and operational results and behavioral changes.

Key Duties

  • Partners with the director to define long-term strategy for continuous-improvement processes and change leadership that have high impact on business performance.
  • Exercises considerable latitude and initiative to analyze current processes and/or implementation strategies to identify issues and opportunities, including assessment of structure, governance, capabilities, process quality, efficiency and effectiveness, measurement, training, readiness and communication.
  • Designs and makes decisions on new processes and change management approaches, as warranted, to meet the objectives of the prioritized programs.
  • Leads cross-divisional teams to develop and implement new or improved processes that deliver significant and successful changes to the business.
  • Partners with the director to build collaborative, process-centric cross-divisional teams and processes to influence and sustain improvements and changes.
  • Influence across company and several levels up to promote a continuous improvement culture, including change management, that automatically drives future initiatives on a consistent basis, ultimately to generate multi-year value creation strategies.
  • Maintains expertise of process improvement trends, change management techniques and leading practices occurring in the marketplace and works with management to facilitate strategic direction and process enhancement.
  • Develops and maintains process improvement and change management course work and self-serve tool set in support of company objectives.
  • Manage Statement of work (SOW) outcomes/deliverables for contractors and temporary staff.
  • Provide change management expertise to contractors and less experienced resources.
  • Partners with the director to prioritize requests and level-load work across the team in alignment with priorities.
  • Leads Continuous Improvement/Change Management community of practice.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 7 years of experience in management consulting, project management, change management, organizational development, Lean/Six Sigma process improvement, or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration, organizational development, or a related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Proven project and change management skills, and the ability to apply research and best practices to existing business problems.
  • Ability to lead analysis studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations.
  • Experience using a data-driven approach for decision making and solution implementation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role managing projects that directly affect multiple organizations, departments, and/or the entire company.
  • Exhibits deep business acumen that allows for quick development of strong relationships with senior leaders to effectively influence and collaborate to meet organizational needs.

Salary Range

$120,400 - $180,600 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
