Role Summary

The Commercial Execution Manager is the lead subject matter expert in the design and improvement seamless integration, alignment, and visibility of our strategic initiatives across Alaska Airlines Commercial organization. As an individual contributor, this role leads the design and execution of the commercial management system, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken, roadblocks are escalated, and the organization stays on track toward its goals. While this is not a direct project management role, it requires strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive alignment and execution across functions.

Key Duties

  • Define long-term strategy with a 12-month horizon for continuous-improvement processes and change leadership that have high impact on business performance.
  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert in the design and improvement seamless integration, alignment, and visibility of our strategic initiatives.
  • Exercise considerable latitude and initiative to solve complex current processes and/or implementation of strategies to identify issues and opportunities, including assessment of structure, governance, capabilities, process quality, efficiency and effectiveness, measurement, training, readiness and communication.
  • Design and make decisions on the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring teams are aligned with business objectives.
  • Influence across company and several levels up to ensure strategic alignment with the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring teams are aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead cross-organizational teams to maintain cross-functional collaboration and information flow.
  • Drive Visibility & Integration: Maintain a clear view of all moving pieces, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify challenges, roadblocks, or misalignments and facilitate resolutions by engaging the right stakeholders.
  • Own Escalation Management: Recognize when additional support is needed and escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key initiatives, measure progress against goals, and support leadership in making data-driven decisions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for more efficient execution of strategic plans and recommend improvements.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 7 years of experience in airline commercial revenue generating functions Network, Revenue Management, Loyalty, E-commerce, and/or project management, or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Strong ability to synthesize information, connect dots, and provide clarity across multiple initiatives.
  • Ability to lead analysis studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations.
  • Experience using a data-driven approach for decision making and solution implementation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership role managing projects that directly affect multiple organizations, departments, and/or the entire company.
  • Exhibits deep business acumen that allows for quick development of strong relationships with senior leaders to effectively influence and collaborate to meet organizational needs.

Salary Range

$120,400 - $180,600 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
