Role Summary

The Sales & Loyalty Market Manager is a subject matter expert in corporate self-managed accounts at Alaska Airlines. This role seeks opportunities in the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) sector, grows leads through the corporate landing page, develops lists of prospects, and engages new customers to grow the number and revenue from corporate ‘self-managed’ accounts leveraging Alaska’s small/medium business program.

Key Duties

  • Grow volume of ‘self managed’ accounts leveraging new ‘Alaska for Business’ platform.
  • Improve profitability of your portfolio of ‘self managed’ accounts including all air/card spend of linked travelers.
  • Support ‘self managed’ accounts and ensure high-levels of satisfaction measured by a quarterly quantitative survey.
  • Lead and execute local sales and loyalty events
  • Assist in local efforts to increase credit card spend with a focus on top-spenders.
  • Seek and cultivate new SME business – utilizes leads list generated from conferences, LinkedIn, business journals, Salesforce, teammate leads, and own network.
  • Implement regional sales plans in accordance with corporate sales objectives, ensuring Alaska Airlines is well-positioned among its competitors, and leverages its position in the marketplace.
  • Represent Alaska Airlines at industry, community marketing and promotional events to include public speaking, participation, coordination and activation.
  • Establish and manag long-term relationships with new and existing accounts that build on ongoing strategies in the marketplace.
  • Monitor competitive activity within the business sector and suggests possible strategies to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Effectively manages and organizes time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for Alaska Air.
  • Prepare and presents Quarterly Business Reviews to monitor revenue, commissions, and contract performance within the region to ensure maximum revenues and share goals are attained.
  • Protect and grows a preference for Alaska Airlines in the unmanaged business travel community with accountability to key metrics.
  • Strategize growth of EasyBiz usage amongst new, unresponsive and existing customers.
  • Maximize revenue and identifies new opportunities by keenly analyzing and interpreting data.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • 4 years of experience in sales, outside sales, or related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Prior exposure to and use of travel industry data reporting sources such as ARC and PRISM.
  • Familiarity with CRM tool Salesforce.
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to cope with conflicts caused by competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to enhance both customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Proven capability of working in an analytically-minded, fact-based sales and account management environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range

$97,200 -- $145,800 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
